Cassandra Ortiz, LCSW

Cassandra is a bilingual English and Spanish speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 7 years of experience in the mental health field. Cassandra graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelors degree in Sociology and San Diego State University with a Masters degree in Social Work. She has experience working alongside children, youth, and families in nonprofit organizations, outpatient, school based, and hospital settings as well as providing clinical supervision to unlicensed therapists. Having grown up in San Diego, Cassandra has been exposed to a variety of cultures and backgrounds, further informing her culturally focused and client centered work. Cassandra’s comprehensive therapeutic approach brings attention to all aspects of a person including biological, physiological, and social factors in order to provide comprehensive support. She strives to provide a comforting, non-judgemental, empathetic, and trauma informed therapeutic experience in order to walk alongside clients on their healing journeys. Cassandra’s work is guided through evidence-based practices as well as highlighting the importance of human connection and cultivating a safe space with individuals. She specializes in the areas of trauma, intergenerational trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. In her free time Cassandra enjoys spending time with her family, visiting museums, cooking,baking, and discovering new coffee shops.
